Nano-modified calcium carbonate is selected when a formulation needs more than basic mineral filling. The material direction is evaluated around particle characteristics, surface activity, dispersion and compatibility with the target polymer, rubber, coating or compound system.
Why surface treatment is important
Untreated mineral particles may not interact efficiently with every organic system. A suitable modification route can improve the way the powder is wetted, dispersed and distributed through the compound. This may support processing consistency and allow the formulator to evaluate a more efficient material and additive balance.
Relevant published product references
HeBei Shoushi publishes nano-modified light-calcium variants in the 803 and 805 CAAHP series. Listed references include calcium carbonate content of at least 98%, moisture at or below 0.2%, iron oxide at or below 0.05%, acid-insoluble matter at or below 0.18%, and pH 8.5–10. Grade selection, test method and delivery agreement remain project specific.
Potential application areas
- PVC and polymer compounds requiring practical dispersion control
- Cable materials where appearance and processing stability are reviewed
- Rubber and elastomer systems requiring compatibility assessment
- Coatings and building-material formulas where rheology and loading direction matter
From lab discussion to line validation
Our approach combines powder selection with supporting additive and formulation discussion. A commercial decision should be based on agreed laboratory and line trials, with results compared against the customer target rather than a generic claim.
